Hello, I'm Rupert 👋

I run Socki.ie, a small Irish wellness and gifting shop, from the back roads between Boyle, Co. Roscommon and Gurteen, Co. Sligo — which is a fancy way of saying "somewhere lovely in Connacht where the wifi occasionally cooperates."

Before all the incense and candles, I spent over 20 years in Irish retail and IT. Two decades of learning what actually makes a shop worth coming back to — good stock, fair prices, no nonsense — and two decades of making websites behave themselves. Turns out that's a handy combination when you're running a wellness shop that lives both online and on a market stall.

What we're about

Socki.ie is built on a simple idea: lovely things for your home and your calm, at prices that don't make you wince.

We stock:

• Candles — Chakra Crystal, Zodiac, and cosy scents for every mood
• Bath & body treats to make an ordinary evening feel like a spa
• Home fragrance — reed diffusers and room sprays
• Cosy bamboo socks and eye pillows for when the day's been a bit much

Whether you're treating yourself or hunting for a thoughtful Irish gift, there's something here that smells lovely and won't break the bank.

Great value, no fuss

Here's the bit I'm quietly proud of. I actually keep an eye on prices across other Irish online shops — spreadsheets, the lot (the IT background never really leaves you) — so I can keep Socki genuinely keen. On the products I've checked, we come out cheaper. And Irish delivery is free once you spend €24.99, with none of the "spend €80 to qualify" trickery you'll find elsewhere.

No fuss, no jargon, no upselling you three things you never asked for. Just good stuff, fairly priced, from a real person in the West of Ireland.

Prefer to shop in person and give the incense a proper sniff before you buy? You'll find us at Castlerea Indoor Market on the first Saturday of every month. Bring your good humour and a few euro.

And if you'd rather stay firmly planted on the couch, socki.ie is open 24/7 and never once runs out of parking.
